As with many things on the 'net, though, it would be nice to have stats. I have them in some of my listings, and for all I know they're sending a few folks to my other items. Personally, I've never had a problem with them. Could it be they are not only not effective, but annoying? It's free, and it's a standalone app, but it's run by an an auction template company called BiggerBids. So in general, scrolling image galleries tend to be free add-ons that can be nice to have in a listing, but even the people who make one of them concede, it's not like studies have been done on how effective they are.Īnd when I asked in one seller group I hang out in what people think of scrolling galleries, I was met with little response, but one seller offered that she "hated" them.
